Position Summary – Analyst, Accounting & Reporting :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Finance Team as an Analyst, Accounting & Reporting. This role is ideal for individuals who want to grow their career in financial reporting, general accounting, and compliance within a globally respected organization.

You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial statements through accurate general accounting activities, compliance with US GAAP and SOX regulations, intercompany reconciliations, audit support, and financial reporting to internal stakeholders.

This position offers a great opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders while playing a critical role in Colgate’s financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

As an Analyst, you will:

• Manage General Accounting Activities: Perform a full range of general accounting responsibilities in line with defined Standard Operating Business Processes (SOBPs).

• Reconcile Financial Accounts: Handle reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and ensure timely follow-ups on open items.

• Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with US GAAP and internal control standards (SOX) for accurate financial reporting.

• Intercompany Transactions: Execute intercompany transactions, perform cash applications and the netting process for ICO customers and vendors.

•  Journal Entries: Accurately prepare and post rule-based journal entries.

• Audit Support: Assist in statutory audits by reviewing audit queries and ensuring timely resolution.

• ERP System Operations: Use SAP and other ERP tools for monthly closing, financial reporting, and data analysis.

• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly financial reports and present financial performance to the Business Finance Director.

• Assessment Cycles: Conduct periodic assessment cycles to enable seamless FI to PA module transitions during month-end activities.

• Documentation: Maintain and update SOX documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

• Process Improvement: Participate in ongoing process improvement, standardization, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Regularly engage with local and regional finance teams to align processes, resolve discrepancies, and drive efficiency.

Required Qualifications :

• To be considered for this role, you should possess:

• A graduate degree in Commerce, BMS, BAF, or BIF.

•  A postgraduate qualification in Finance.

• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.

• Prior experience with ERP systems SAP experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
