Team Overview – Partner Experience at Scale :
You’ll be part of the Partner Experience Team, a high-performing global unit of 50+ professionals responsible for onboarding and servicing large platforms like marketplaces and aggregators as well as their merchants.
This team plays a strategic role in enabling global business opportunities through smart design, scalable features, and reliable performance. Backed by strong technical leadership and increasing AI adoption, the Partner Experience team thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do – Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Frontend Software Engineer at PayPal, you’ll be more than a coder. You’ll help architect global systems, design seamless customer experiences, and write scalable, secure code.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build responsive, high-performing frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and NodeJS.
• Collaborate within a 7-member Scrum team to develop new features and improve existing functionality.
• Ensure your code adheres to best practices, standards, and testing protocols.
• Take part in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative development.
• Innovate by developing creative frontend components that enhance user engagement and operational efficiency.
• Stay ahead with the latest trends in frontend development, web accessibility, and user experience.
What You Bring – Required Skills & Experience :
To be successful in this role, you’ll need both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. You should enjoy problem-solving, debugging, and building components from scratch.
Minimum Requirements:
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Practical experience with at least one modern frontend framework preferably React.
• Solid problem-solving skills and debugging techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with GraphQL or similar frontend data query technologies.
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility standards.
• Working experience with NodeJS on the server-side.
• Passion for clean code, performance optimization, and secure development practices.
