You’ll be joining Ciena’s Services Business Intelligence & Data Science team, supporting key initiatives across the services business value chain from sales to post-sales services by developing cutting-edge reporting and data analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
BI Dashboarding & Reporting:
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and SharePoint sites.
• Create dashboards reflecting key performance trends and service metrics.
• Ensure data visualization clarity for internal stakeholders and executive management.
Data Analysis & KPI Tracking:
• Analyze operational metrics for Ciena’s Global Services Organization.
• Define KPIs to track business performance.
• Perform case studies on specific business problems and offer actionable insights.
• Solution Design & Architecture:
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements.
• Design high-performance data models and integrate them with current systems.
• Coordinate with team members to implement new models and enhancements.
Project Leadership & Maintenance:
• Lead proof-of-concept projects using new tools and techniques.
• Identify root causes for performance deviations and recommend improvements.
• Document solutions and ensure all processes comply with data quality standards.
Must-Have Qualifications
• 0–2 years of work experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a similar domain.
• Strong command over Power BI and SQL.
• Knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of business processes and KPI metrics.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
