As an Automation Tester – Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions by executing test cases and automation scripts that validate business functionality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
As a part of Deloitte Consulting, your main responsibilities will include:
🔹 Test Planning & Design
Engage in business requirement discussions with clients and global teams.
Gather clarifications, if any, and prepare well-documented test scenarios and cases.
Design automation scripts using Selenium or equivalent tools.
Build and manage traceability matrices (RTM) to map requirements to test coverage.
🔹 Test Execution & Reporting
Set up required test data and environments for execution.
Execute automation test scripts across supported browsers/platforms.
Document, track, and triage bugs/defects until closure.
Generate and present detailed test reports/results.
Flag risks and blockers, escalating issues as needed.
🔹 Collaboration & Agile Practices
Work closely with onshore and offshore teams in an agile/scrum environment.
Contribute to sprint planning and retrospective sessions.
Ensure consistency and compliance with testing standards and best practices.
Use test management tools like Jira or TestRail to track progress and maintain visibility.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Candidates applying should demonstrate the following core competencies:
• Core Testing & Automation Skills:
1–3 years of hands-on experience in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, etc.
• Proficiency in coding with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.
Web & API Understanding:
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to navigate web app structures.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
Database & Reporting:
• Experience using SQL for backend validation and database testing.
• Ability to interpret and create reports from automated test runs.
Agile Methodologies:
• Comfortable working in agile teams with sprint cycles, SCRUM meetings, and retrospectives.
Tools & Platforms:
• Experience using test case management tools like Jira, TestRail, etc.
• Exposure to CI/CD processes will be an added advantage.
Good-to-Have (Preferred Qualifications)
While not mandatory, the following skills will give you a competitive edge:
• Familiarity with other automation tools like TOSCA, UFT, or UiPath
• ISTQB / CSTE certifications
• Basic cloud knowledge or certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Prior experience in both web application and API testing environments
