📌 Key Responsibilities:
As a ServiceNow Developer in the IT Consulting team, your day-to-day activities will include:
• Planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing all technical tasks related to the configuration and implementation of the ServiceNow platform.
• Performing hands-on development and configuration across multiple ServiceNow modules, including:
Incident Management
Problem Management
Change Management
Service Catalog
Asset Management
Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
Knowledge Management
Agent Workspace and Employee Center
Writing and configuring advanced scripting and logic, including:
Business Rules
Script Includes
UI Policies
REST API
Client Scripts
Access Control Lists (ACLs)
Notifications
UI Pages and UI Macros
SLAs and OLAs
• Working on REST and SOAP-based integrations to connect ServiceNow with other platforms.
• Leveraging hands-on experience in Service Portal development and Performance Analytics.
• Building and modifying workflows using Flow Designer.
• Diagnosing and resolving platform issues, answering complex technical queries, and offering support and troubleshooting.
• Supporting project documentation, including process documentation, solutioning documents, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure holistic, high-quality technology solutions.
• Exploring alternate technical solutions through research, literature surveys, and POCs (Proof of Concepts).
• Assisting with requirement gathering, functional specification, and translating business needs into detailed design documents.
• Supporting solution configuration, resolving issues through root-cause analysis, and identifying solution alternatives.
• Contributing to internal initiatives and upskilling efforts to improve delivery standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 1 to 2 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer in an implementation or configuration-focused role.
• Solid understanding of ITIL principles.
• Experience working with modules like ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, ITBM, and more.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP.
• Hands-on with Performance Analytics and ServiceNow Portal.
• Experience in workflow design and automation.
• Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and engagement skills able to work with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator – Mandatory.
🏆 Preferred Skills:
Experience in implementing advanced ServiceNow modules such as:
• ServiceNow HAMPro (Hardware Asset Management Professional)
• ServiceNow SAMPro (Software Asset Management Professional)
ServiceNow Discovery
ServiceNow Integration Hub
• Familiarity with:
Change Management
ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM)
Exposure to CSM, HRSD, and ITBM modules will be a bonus.
Demonstrated ability to work on solution design, technical documentation, and platform governance.
