Key Responsibilities
As a SQL Developer at NTT DATA, you will work with a cross-functional team of data experts, software developers, and business analysts to:
• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets from various sources.
• Utilize ETL tools to extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data efficiently.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and preprocessing to ensure high-quality input for reports and analytics.
• Create and deliver insurance-focused reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to business stakeholders.
• Conduct deep-dive data analysis and statistical evaluations to provide actionable insights.
• Work closely with teams in life insurance domain to understand data requirements and business logic.
• Collaborate in a team environment that emphasizes continuous learning, innovation, and mutual respect.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate:
📊 Technical Proficiency:
Strong command of SQL – including stored procedures, functions, optimization, and indexing.
Solid experience in ETL processes and tools like Informatica, Talend, or Apache Nifi.
Comfort working with structured and unstructured data formats (CSV, XML, JSON, log files, etc.).
Knowledge of data modeling and relational database systems (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel Dashboards.
🧮 Analytics & Tools:
Working experience with Python or R for data manipulation and statistical computing.
High proficiency in Excel (EXL) for ad-hoc reports, pivot tables, macros, and dashboards.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data pipelines, and API integration.
🏦 Domain Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of Life Insurance data systems, claims, policies, and underwriting analytics.
Experience in building reporting solutions tailored to insurance business intelligence.
💼 Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields.
• 3–7 years of professional experience in SQL development and data analytics.
• Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services sectors is highly desirable.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global teams.
