Job Overview: Associate Engineer – Hardware Systems Engineering
As an Associate Engineer at Qualcomm, you will work within the Hardware Systems Engineering group, a part of Qualcomm’s core innovation engine. You’ll be responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and evaluation of cutting-edge hardware systems that power mobile, edge, compute, AR/VR, IoT, and more.
This role provides a hands-on opportunity to understand system-level engineering concepts, work on real chipset design problems, and contribute to products used across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the design and development of electronic parts, systems, components, and integrated circuits for Qualcomm hardware systems.
• Support system development processes by identifying potential design flaws or compliance issues and finding solutions.
• Participate in hardware testing and debugging activities, focusing on specific subsystems or chip components.
• Evaluate sensitivity, integrity, and compatibility of design components based on technical specs and system requirements.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, software, and testing units, to deliver high-performance hardware systems.
Required Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
• Strong foundational knowledge of hardware systems, circuit design, and electronic components.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey basic, routine technical information.
• Ability to follow documented instructions, processes, and procedures.
Level of Responsibility
• You will work under supervision from senior engineers and team leads.
• Decision-making is limited to your immediate scope of work and tasks.
• The role primarily involves hands-on engineering work with routine processes and well-defined tasks.
• You will be using reference manuals and standard guidelines to perform your tasks.
