YouTube’s Trust & Safety team in Hyderabad is hiring Content Specialists to be on the frontlines of internet safety. You’ll be reviewing digital content, managing global escalations, enforcing policy, and helping evolve one of the world’s most influential platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
🔍 Review & Evaluate Content: Analyze escalated, violative, and controversial video content, including graphic or violent materials, under the framework of YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
🚨 Manage Escalations: Own end-to-end handling of escalated issues, ensuring timely and accurate triage, communication with stakeholders, and collaborative resolution across time zones.
🛡️ Enforce Policy: Be part of the Hyderabad-based enforcement team ensuring accurate, quality-driven application of YouTube’s policies to user-generated content.
📊 Data-Driven Strategy: Use content review insights to identify patterns, suggest improvements to content policy, and collaborate with product teams for systems/process enhancements.
📑 Reporting & Policy Feedback: Deliver thoughtful written communication and analysis that feed back into future policy design and enforcement strategies.
🔄 Test & Optimize: Pilot new systems and tools, providing feedback that shapes content moderation infrastructure globally.
Minimum Qualifications:
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.
🔧 Hands-on experience in content review, online assessment, or problem-solving in the digital media space.
📈 Experience with data analysis using spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications:
🌐 Familiarity with international digital issues such as freedom of expression, cybercrime, controversial topics, and sociopolitical content.
🧠 Experience in content policy, online abuse identification, or policy journalism.
💻 Working knowledge of SQL and advanced spreadsheet manipulation.
📢 Strong communication, collaboration, and investigative skills with an ability to influence business decisions via data storytelling.
