Job Summary :
As a Data Scientist - Associate 2, you’ll be part of a dynamic business analytics team in India, collaborating with consultants and clients in the U.S. Your primary responsibilities include leading high-impact analytics projects, mentoring junior analysts, and delivering strategic business recommendations backed by rigorous data science practices.
Key Responsibilities :
• Collaborate with US-based consultants and clients to understand business problems and data requirements.
• Translate complex business needs into structured analytics plans and execute them effectively.
• Lead analytics projects under the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models using tools like Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, or Databricks.
• Perform data cleansing, standardization, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for model training.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques such as Bayesian regression, log-linear/log-log regression, and other predictive/prescriptive analytics methods.
• Implement deep learning models and ANN where required.
• Work with Python, PySpark, and SQL to manipulate data at scale.
• Create compelling visual dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight to communicate insights.
• Ensure quality control of deliverables and maintain integrity of all data and model outcomes.
• Validate results with stakeholders and contribute to impactful client presentations.
• Actively coach junior team members in best practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and innovation activities across the team and firm.
Required Skills and Experience :
Candidates must have 2+ years of hands-on experience in data science, preferably in a consulting or enterprise environment.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience building ML models in at least one cloud environment:
Azure ML
AWS SageMaker
Databricks
Strong background in machine learning algorithms:
Supervised & Unsupervised Learning
Deep Learning, Artificial Neural Networks
Advanced statistical knowledge including:
Statistical tests & distributions
Bayesian Regression, Log-Linear and Log-Log Models
Proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL for advanced programming tasks
Hands-on experience with popular ML tools and libraries:
scikit-learn, caret, mlr, H2O.ai
TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLlib
Strong understanding of data preprocessing, data manipulation, and feature engineering
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as:
Tableau
power BI
AWS QuickSight
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of containerization & orchestration tools:
Docker
kubernetes / AWS EKS
Apache Airflow for data pipelines
Familiarity with DevOps for ML and model deployment pipelines
Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
Effective presentation skills with experience delivering to C-level or senior executives
Educational Qualifications :

B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech (in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related fields)
